First of all lets look into the Sylvania light bulb ads where there are a lot of ghost in Thailand in it. There are a lot of ghost in Thailand folklore and story just like every country. A lot of Thai ghost story are influence by Buddhism which came into Thailand around 308 BC by the support of Ashoka the Great who is the king of the land which is now india (Maurya Empire). Anyway lets look at some of the Thai ghost :
1. Krasue : While in Europe and America, people hunt down witches because of fear and hatred, in Thailand there is Krasue, the ghost which posses in an old woman. This kind of ghost like to eat raw, fishy and dirty things like stool. After eating that, if it see any cloth left by people it will wipe their mouth with that (I wonder if the ghost see the under ware did they gonna wipe with that) but hey, they just eat crap so... it will leave a round stain on the cloth , if people take that cloth and boil them, Krasue will feel pain in their mount like their mount have been boil. Krasue will come and tell people not to boil them anymore (- -' ).
Krasue also like the smell of blood as well, they like the woman who's are giving birth and will come to eat the internal organs of them. The appearance of this ghost is normally its like human and in the night, it will take his head off the body, the head will attach to the liver, kidney, and intestine. They will float out leaving the body at the house (how convenience) when people see it as a ball of green light (This may be explain some UFO sighting haha). Well that's all about Krasue, the story have been turn into many movies in Thailand.
